Hong Kong's boccia players grabbed a gold and three bronze medals at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou on Wednesday.
Yeung Hiu-lam won a grueling final in extra session against South Korea's Jeong Soyeong in women's individual BC2, after the score was tied at 6-6 at the end of four games.
Yeung said she’s excited to defeat a tough opponent in the final.
"My strategy was to do well myself. Even if [Jeong] was playing like she can fly, I need to perform well for a chance to win," Yeung told RTHK after the victory.
Also in boccia, veteran Leung Yuk-wing defeated Japan's Shun Esaki 5-2 in the men's individual BC4 event bronze medal match.
Karen Kwok and Cheung Yuen won their Class 2 and Class 4 women's individual bronze medal matches 4-2 and 3-2 respectively, against opponents from Japan and Thailand.
