Hong Kong swimmer Chan Yui-lam added a fourth medal to her haul at this year's Asian Para Games, as Hong Kong athletes won five more medals on day four in Hangzhou.
Chan, who already had one gold and two silver medals to her name going into Thursday's competition, broke the Games record twice on her way to gold in the women’s 100m butterfly S14 event – first in the morning heats, and then again in the final with her winning time of one minute, 4.73 seconds.
The 20-year-old told RTHK after the race that she was satisfied with her performance.
"I think both my overall performance and confidence have improved since I started swimming the butterfly stroke... now it's just a matter of strengthening my mindset," she said.
In badminton, an all-Hong Kong semi-final in the men's singles SH6 event saw Wong Chun-yim come up just short against compatriot Chu Man-kai – losing in two games, 21-12, 21-10.
The result meant Wong took bronze, with Chu advancing to Friday's gold medal match.
There was also a bronze for the SAR's Chan Ho-yuen in the men's singles WH2.
Chan lost his semi-final in two games against Japan's Kajiwara Daiki.
And on the running track, Hong Kong's Yam Kwok-fan sprinted to a bronze medal in the women's 100m T36.
Yam achieved a personal best time of 15.47 seconds, beating China's Li Sishuang to third spot on the podium by 0.01 of a second.
While Wong King-yeung was awarded a track and field bronze medal in the men's T13 1500m, a day after he had finished the race in fourth.
Wong crossed the line in a time of five minutes 5.83 seconds, behind Jordan's Nabeel Khaled Ahmad Maqableh in first, and Indian runners Sharath Makanahalli Shankarappa and Balwant Singh Rawat.
Rawat, though, was disqualified on Thursday and Wong awarded the bronze.
After four full days of competition, the Hong Kong delegation has won a total of 30 medals – five gold, nine silver and 16 bronze.
