Hong Kong, China sailor Nicholas Halliday on Sunday moved up one place in the men's dinghy after completing two more races at the Olympics.
Halliday came in 15th and 32nd place respectively on the fourth day of the event.
The 25-year-old still has two more races to go on Monday, a day before the medal race in Marseille.
He is now ranked 24th out of 43 sailors.
The 10 participants with the fewest points advance to the medal race. The winner of each race is awarded one point, and the runner-up two, and so on.
After excluding his worst race, Halliday is now on 136 net points, compared with 99 for Ireland’s Finn Lynch in 10th place.
