Financial Secretary Paul Chan said on Thursday that he has held a meeting with senior officials he supervises to map out stronger promotional campaigns for the Legislative Council elections on December 7.
Chan said on social media that the idea is to maximise efforts and mobilise voters to cast their ballots.
He said more than 30 departments and public bodies under the six policy bureaus must comprehensively intensify such efforts in the coming month.
"They are all engaged in critical areas vital to advancing Hong Kong's economy, trade, finance, aviation and innovation and technology development, as well as ensuring the well-being and prosperity of the public," he wrote.
"By leveraging the capabilities and professional networks of each policy bureau and department, this election campaign will reach out to more people and deliver more in-depth and clear promotions."
Meanwhile, the minister for culture, sports and tourism, Rosanna Law, said she will feature in a video clip along with leading officials in her bureau to encourage the public to vote.
