A man has appeared in court on suspicion of damaging campaign flags belonging to three candidates in the upcoming Legislative Council elections.
Police said a number of campaign flags put up near Yan Tin Estate in Tuen Mun were found damaged on Friday.
Officers made the arrest the following day after their investigation, which included reviewing CCTV footage.
The suspect, 31, was charged with criminal damage and appeared at Tuen Mun Magistrates’ Courts on Monday morning.
The case has been adjourned to December 12.
