Polling stations opened on Sunday morning for the 2025 Legislative Council Election.
More than 600 polling stations are open for more than four million registered voters to cast their ballots, and will remain open until 11.30 pm.
The MTR is extending services so people can vote.
Fifty-one candidates are competing for 20 seats in ten geographical constituencies; 60 hopefuls are running for 30 seats in 28 functional constituencies; while there are 50 candidates gunning for 40 seats in the election committee constituency.
Besides 612 ordinary polling stations set up for voters across the SAR, authorities have arranged 24 dedicated polling stations; six polling stations at boundary control points; ten specifically set up for civil servants to cast their ballots; seven for Hospital Authority staff; two for ethnic minority voters, and three outreach polling stations for residential care homes.
