13 percent of voters have cast ballots as of 12.30 pm

Voter turnout in the geographical constituency contests of the 2025 Legislative Council election reached 13 percent by 12.30 pm on Sunday, with 536,527 ballots cast for the 20 seats up for grabs in the first five hours of voting.

New Territories South West recorded the highest turnout so far at 13.66 percent, while Kowloon West lagged behind at 12.4 percent.

In other categories, 15.7 percent of the electorate had cast votes in functional constituency races, while the Election Committee constituency saw a participation rate of 84.65 percent by 12.30 pm.

Altogether, almost 568,000 votes had been recorded across all constituencies by that time.

Polling stations opened at 7.30 am, an hour earlier than in past elections, and are scheduled to close at 11.30 pm.
