The government will continue to stimulate market vitality and explore new growth areas for Hong Kong under the guidance of the SAR’s First Five-Year Plan, the Chief Executive John Lee has said.
Writing on his social media on Saturday, he said the government has received a large number of invaluable and diverse opinions from the public through various channels on the plan and the Policy Address. Both will be unveiled on September 16.
They have offered important references and insights to help the administration formulate long-term blueprints, Lee added.
Lee said the plan would formulate macro-level strategies for the SAR, offer a clear development roadmap, and align with the nation’s 15th Five-Year Plan. He said the Policy Address would focus on specific strategies.
Lee said the two documents are intrinsically linked.
The CE also noted that measures laid out in the annual Policy Address over the past years have brought new impetus and opportunities in various areas, including finance, innovation and technology, and education.
