Organ donors should be screened for hepatitis E: expert  Listenfacebook
A liver transplant expert, Professor Albert Chan from the University of Hong Kong, says it is important that organ donors are screened for hepatitis E. He said this could help prevent patients who receive their organs from getting infected by the disease. Professor Chan’s comments came after five patients who received transplanted organs from the same donor were infected with hepatitis E. He spoke to Annemarie Evans:
