Hong Kong swimming sensation Siobhan Haughey made more splashes in the pool at the National Games on Sunday as she qualified for two semifinals back-to-back in less than half an hour.
Haughey, who already won two gold medals at this year's Games, kicked off the day by topping her heat in the women's 50m freestyle with a time of 25.07 seconds.
She outpaced Zhang Yufei of Jiangsu, who won bronze in the same event at the Paris Olympics, and clocked the third fastest time overall to advance.
Teammate Li Sum-yiu joined her in the top 16, while the SAR's Gilaine Ma failed to progress.
Haughey returned to the pool around 20 minutes later for the women's 50m breaststroke heat, and was second to touch the wall with a time of 31.10 seconds.
She placed third overall to move on to the semifinals, joined by teammate Eunis Man.
The SAR's Claire Cheung narrowly missed out on a spot in the top 16.
