Hong Kong’s boccia team enjoyed a successful day on home soil at the National Games for Persons with Disabilities on Friday, adding another three medals to their tally at Kai Tak Arena.

The highlight came in an all-Hong Kong final in the women’s individual BC2 event, where Yeung Hiu-lam faced teammate Kwok Hoi-ying.

Yeung dominated the match, earning a point in each of the four rounds to claim a 4-0 victory and secure gold, while Kwok took silver.

There was also a silver medal in the women’s individual BC3 event, where the SAR’s Ho Yuen-kei put up a strong fight against Sichuan’s Fan Jin.

Ho took the first round, but Fan responded by winning each of the next three, clinching the gold medal with a 3-1 scoreline.

With these latest achievements, Hong Kong’s boccia medal count at these Games now stands at seven, including two golds, two silvers and three bronzes.
