Hong Kong’s windsurfing team won two more medals at the Asian Games in Hangzhou on Wednesday – even though their races were cancelled due to a lack of wind.
That meant the medals were decided based on the cumulative results of the first 18 races.
As a result, Hong Kong’s Ma Kwan-ching took home a silver medal in the women's iQFoil event on the back of a rock solid performance throughout the competition that saw her win two of the races and come in second in 13 more.
China’s Huang Xianting won the gold with a dominant performance, having won 15 of the 18 races; while the bronze went to Aticha Homraruen of Thailand.
Cheng Ching-yin won a bronze for the SAR in the men’s iQFoil, behind Bi Kun of China, who won gold, and South Korea’s Lee Taehoon, who came in second place.
