Hong Kong won a bronze in the women's foil fencing team event on Thursday at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou.
Kuan Yu-ching, Valerie Cheng and Sophia Wu played in the semi-final against South Korea with Daphne Chan as substitute. The SAR lost 25-45 in the nine-round relay.
Earlier, the team beat Thailand 45-15 in the last eight. They put on a strong performance, leading for the entire relay.
Meanwhile, Japan will be joining Hong Kong on the podium for bronze, after losing 29-45 to China in their semi-final match.
