Hong Kong secured a bronze medal in the mixed triathlon relay event at the Asian Games on Monday, despite the absence of Olympian Oscar Coggins.
The team of Wong Tsz-to, Bailee Brown, Jason Ng and Charlotte Hall were in medal contention throughout, finishing in 1 hour 28.22 minutes.
Japan won gold in 1 hour 26.21 minutes. China came second in 1 hour 27.48 minutes.
"Our team have been through a lot of adversities, but we are so close and I could not have asked better people to do this with," Brown told HOY TV after the race.
"We had a few switches to our relay team but, you know, we were ready no matter what. We all have done the work and so I think we came here, and we all believe in each other and trusted we could get it done."
