Chief Executive John Lee will lead a 360-member delegation to Beijing to attend commemorative activities for the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
The Chief Executive's Office said on Monday that the delegation includes members from various sectors of the community, such as principal government officials, patriots who took part in the War of Resistance, veterans and their descendants.
The commemorative events, which will be held on Wednesday, include a rally and a military parade in the morning and a cultural gala in the evening. Lee will also attend a reception at noon.
Lee will depart for Beijing on Tuesday and return to Hong Kong on Thursday.
