Hong Kong's golfers narrowly missed out on a spot on the podium at the National Games on Sunday, losing three shots overall to the eventual bronze medallists in the men's team competition.
Despite entering the final day in a tie for second, the team of Taichi Kho, Matthew Cheung, Jason Hak and Jeffrey Shen were one over par as a collective, ending the tournament in Fanling at 24 under.
Shanghai led the pack with a 38-under-par to capture gold, five shots ahead of second-placed Tianjin.
Shaanxi rounded out the podium with a score of 27-under-par.
For the men's individual rankings, Kho placed fifth overall after four days of competition, with a total of nine-under-par.
