Hong Kong para athletes bagged four medals, including two golds, in table tennis on Monday as they played on home soil at the National Special Olympic Games.
Under the round-robin tournaments at Tsuen Wan Sports Centre, athletes were grouped together based on their abilities.
The first gold of the day came from Yeung Shing-hin and Lee Po-tung in the mixed doubles group of the 16-to-21 age division.
Another mixed doubles pair, Fan Ka-wa and Tam Egshiglen, came first in the group aged 22 to 29, while teammates Wong Chi-hong and Lau Ching-yi took silver in the same group.
Fan Ka-leung and Cheng Hoi-ching took bronze in a separate group of the 22-to-29 age bracket.
At the National Games for Persons with Disabilities in Guangzhou, the Hong Kong mixed doubles pair of Wong Hon-lam and Pang Wing-ka will play for gold on Tuesday after beating their Chongqing counterparts in the semifinals.
